Super Rewards releasing internally built MMOs??
Posted in Alerts on February 2nd, 2009 by jesse – 5 CommentsIt appears that our competitors recently learned about our acquisition of Frozen Bear (a former app development company), so they think they have found a dirty little secret and are now spreading false rumors to the developer community. According to one of our competitors, we are planning a release of 20-30 MMOs over the next couple of weeks.Â
Let’s set the record straight: We acquired Frozen Bear nearly 6 months ago for the user experience and game optimization expertise of its 2 founders (and sole employees). Greg and Jeff are two of the most talented developers walking the planet and have also spearheaded the creation of our Burlingame office which we are staffing up quickly.
With the Frozen Bear team also came the Frozen Bear games. The Frozen Bear games are up for sale and have been offered to many of our larger publishers. This information is public domain, and we openly discuss this with all of our publishers who are interested. To reduce publisher risk exposure, Super Rewards now uses the Frozen Bear games for new feature development and testing. Every change we make to our UI is first tested on the Frozen Bear apps before exposure to our larger developer community.
To be clear, KITN (Super Rewards) has no plans to launch any games. Our competitors are desperate for a story. The idea that Super Rewards is about to launch 20-30 MMO’s to compete with our own clients is 100% BS cooked up out of desperation. We have tight relationships with all of the major players in the gaming space and have no intentions of competing with them. Super Rewards will continue to lead this marketplace through innovation and top-notch customer support.
